Most of these scrapers that were "old-style good" would open the blade holding end slightly, like a jaw opening when it came time to insert or replace a blade. Not this one. I had to fight with the blade in a pair of pliers to get it in and I still don't get the feeling that it's properly seated.

The thumb mechanism seems to work fairly well. The scraper included fairly decent quality blades. The extended blade seems to stay in place to do the scraping.

I'm still worried about getting this blade out when the time comes.

hard to put in razor blade

Overall the item is about what you might expect for a $5 tool. The negatives are that the extender/retracter button is VERY hard to use & loading the razor blade requires pounding it on the table. BE VERY CAREFUL.

Blade moves around too much. This makes it unusable because the blade will never be level enough to evenly scrape, just gouge whatever you're trying to scrape.
